  • A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for a night ICU RN. 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years of unit experience
    • RNs are required to titrate drips
    • Common titratable &/or set rate drips include: Vasopressors, Insulin, TNK, Heparin, IV Antibiotics, Sedatives
    • RNs must read and interpret tele monitors
    • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2 for ICU patients, for medical patients 1:5, and PCU at 1:4
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hour shifts, 0630-1900, 1830-0700
      • 36 hours guaranteed
      • Every other weekend
      • Holiday requirements vary, based on unit needs
      • Schedule is done by unit scheduler

        • Unit/department specific orientation: First week system orientation and onboarding. 1-2 12 hour shifts of unit orientation
          • Additional Details
          • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, neuro
          • Charge Nurse on each shift, charge nurse takes assignment
          • Nurse aids/patient care techs on unit, ratios and duties vary
          • 24/7 critical care coverage, E-ICU staffed with nurse and APRN 24/7
          • RT Equipment handled: Vents, BiPAPs
          • Floating Requirements: Will float to PCU and Medical floors
          • Navy Blue scrub color/dress code
          • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
          • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
